Background
The Kyambogo Ultra Challenge Run is an annual long distance running event that has taken place since 2010 and is the oldest ultra-run in Kampala. This event was started by fun & non professional runners. The main idea behind this event was to help runners (both beginners and advanced runners) from different running clubs around Kampala City and beyond who intend to participate in different marathons during the year to gauge their fitness levels ahead of time and make appropriate.
Our goal is to be the leading Ultra Marathon in Uganda.

The Event
The event promotes and encourages runners from different running teams/clubs to participate in many upcoming long distance runs.
The start and finish venues are always at Kyambogo University Playground in Kampala. There are three distances for the participants to choose from; 50km, 25km & 10km; Also the Route Maps are always provided for the 3 routes of the challenge run. In 2025, the organizers aimed to have 800 participants and this was sold off three days before the Marathon day.
